Thanks for writing in. Take a look at our 15-087 Pivot Shoe. Compare the width and thickness to your old shoes and see if it matches. This shoe is compatible with our Series 180 Coil Springs. Let us know if you have any questions.

A purchasing agent from Bluefield WV says:
Do these assemblies require 2 springs? Paten #: 5, 353,548

There's really no one answer to this question. It depends on the overall weight of your window sash that these coil balances are supporting, as well as the individual spring weight strength of each coil spring. At minimum, you will always have one coil spring on each side of the window sash. Stamps on the coil springs should indicate the spring weights you need for each coil spring. If not, however, or you are uncertain, weigh your window sash. Give us that exact weight and we'll work out what you need. Also, confirm for us that your pivot shoe resembles our 15-087
