Hello team,
My champion doors and windows are excellent and I only have one problem identifying the part number or replacement parts to rebuild this door handle. This is obviously an exterior door I use as the main entry door to the house and has been in use for around ten years.
I had a technician from Champion Doors and Windows on the phone with me at one point to try to discover the part number for the door and was not marked any other than the safety regulation number marked:
Champion
16 CFR 1201 II
SGCC 1921 1/8UA
ANSI Z97.1 - 2004
I've changed the locking mechanism one before and now see the handle is really starting to wear and need replaced. I'm worried I'm going to come home and be either locked out or have another issue with the entry door.
Can you help me find the exact part number or replacement handle with lock? Thanks guys, I know this is a long shot but if your office knows this kind of stuff it would not only be super impressive but is probably going to save my life one day.
Thanks
-Jason

Hello,
Unfortunately, I'm not confident that anything in our inventory could replace your handle set but we would need you to confirm the exact distance between the installation hole centers since your photo looks like it may be indicating the length of the faceplate. It would also help to see a photo of the mortise lock in the center of the door that the handle set engages with. Thank you.

Apparently this door handle and mortise lock assembly is not available for replacement parts, but Champion has redesigned a new handle and mortise locking parts that will work with their Champion doors.
Too bad the online scheduling staff couldn't tell me that, they referred me to Lowes or Home Depot in the off chance I could make something work with a DIY kit and a locksmith.
Not sure if this is a public post, if so maybe this would help somebody, or if this post is just within your office then maybe this new handle and lock assembly could be a new hot topic to help someone before the ice storm freezes them out.
Thanks
Happy 2023

That's great news. We'll pass it on to other customers in the same predicament.
