Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this, but we'll need more information. Can you show us photos of the top and bottom fittings? We would also like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel.

Additionally, can you measure the bottom shoe's depth as shown below and tell us what you get?
