Chanel balance in non tilt window.

A quick learner from Ohio says:
Hi, I have a window here that the balance must have come disconnected. When the window is closed you can see the balance where it?s not supposed to be. Because of this I can?t access the metal clip on that side. Is this fixable? How would I remove the window. Any guidance you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!

Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for posting. It looks like you might need new Top Sash Guides. The Top Sash Guide is a nylon cap in the top corner of the sash that is meant to keep the channel balance in place during operation. When this breaks, the channel balance shoots past the window sash, as shown in your photos. See the video below for information on removing the sash and removing and replacing the broken Top Sash Guide. If you need help identifying the right replacement, show us 'mugshot pictures' of the front and side of your undamaged Top Sash Guide, removed from the window. You can see our selection of Top Sash Guides here.
