Channel Balance

Hello,

The channel balance on my non-tilt window basically fell out when I opened my window. This is the first time I am replacing one of these and just want to make sure that I get the right part. The windows were originally installed in 2006. The only markings the balance has is 2630 BSI TH on the metal.
Is the S385-27 the correct model?

The Series 385 balance will not work for you. You have a special type that will have to be a custom order.

I need a bit more information before we go further, though. To start, can you confirm the length of the metal channel? It should be 26-7/8". Can you also show me a clear picture of the metal clip at the end of the cord? It's an important detail, though it is small. It seems to have broken off of your cord. Finally, how many of these did you need?

Hello.

Yes, the metal channel is that size. I attached a picture with measurements.
The clip at the end of the cord is not metal but plastic (see images).

At the moment I would need 2 new balances.

I'm afraid that's not the clip I had in mind. That's just the pulley, which isn't relevant to our needs.

The clip I need is what you use to hook the balance into the track, which is why it's so important. It seems yours has snapped off the cord, so you won't find it on the balance you have on hand. You'll have to get an undamaged version, either from the other side of the window or an identical window in the house. Please let me know if you can get that for me.
