Stamped on the channel balance:
IMP 29D s 38 (symbol) CQ
Just the metal housing is 30 1/16 in long, and 5/8 in wide

This window balance can be replaced with either the S380-30 or the S385-30. You'll need to confirm the depth of your shoe to determine if this is the right replacement match.

Your 29DS38 stamp indicates the sash may weigh 38lbs but you may want to double check. If I am correct, our 2965 stamp should work in its place. It will support 35 to 39lbs.
