Channel Balance 27F

Question

Thank you for assisting me today. I have attached my original Channel Balance and they are 27F but measure a total of 28 5/16 inches. Go figure. Why would they do that. I am guessing to be safe and not have to re-drill new holes the 29F would be the safest way to go? What do you think?

Let me know if you need more. It was hard to take a picture of the entire balance and still be clear.

Thanks for posting! I am confident that we can provide you with a replacement balance, however, to be absolutely sure, I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged balance removed from the window.

I am specifically looking to see any attachments that could be connected to the balance or that may still be in the window channel, connected to the bottom of the sash.

Unfortunately, the stamp from the balance doesn't help to identify the type of balance you need. The stamp only indicates the weight range your balances should be able to carry to support the sash however, we'll first need to determine the balance series you need.
