Channel Balance

Question

We are looking to purchase new channel balances for our window. Our window weighs 26lbs, therefore we were unsure if we needed two balances rated for about 13lbs (2520) each, or two balances rated for 26lbs (2540) each. If you could please help us with this so we can complete our order it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For channel balances, you do not divide the weight of the sash to determine what strength spring you need. In this instance, I recommend going for the 2550 option. Two balances with this option can carry a window sash weight of 25 through 28 pounds.
