Hi -
I want to confirm the right size channel balance before ordering. Mine is for a Milgard window. The part is 27" long (the length of the metal only, without the cap or foot) and 1/2 wide. It seems to correspond to this item and the foot size is the same as described:

However, it looks slightly different (mine is missing the holes punched in the metal sides of the part). My part is stamped in ink with this: 26 4 HT CMC 4
The window was installed around late 2000 / early 2001.

Holes punched in the sides of the balance will make absolutely no difference in the function or the identity of the balance. If you'd like us to verify that you chose the right balance, though, we would need to see photos of the top and bottom attachments, and we'd need to know the weight of the window sash.
