Channel Balance ID

Quick Learner from Yorba Linda, CA
I want to order window sash balancers for my Milgard windows. The existing balancers are marked: 26 5 GR CALDWELL. The rail is 1/2" wide and the length of the balancer of just the metal (not including plastic pieces) is 27". The width of image 1959 is 1 3/32". Should I order part 385 and also click the 2650 option? Not sure what that option means (it costs 75 cents more?). Also, I want to make sure that these balancers come complete, with both plastic ends already installed.

Please advise.

Thanks for writing in. If the depth, or 'heel-to-toe' measurement, of the bottom nylon shoe is indeed 1-3/32", then yes, the S385-27 is what you're looking for. Yes, your stamp code of 26 5 indicates you'd need a stamp option of 2650. The stamp option dictates the strength of the spring within the balance, or essentially, the weight range that it is calibrated to support. The stamp option of 2650 supports a window sash in the weight range of 26 through 30 lbs. Let us know if you have any other questions.
