Channel Balance ID

Question

We have Milgard windows and one balancer just broke. I am sure they will all start breaking sooner or later. Is there an exact replacement you can recommend? It is all very confusing with all the shoe options. I would also need the plastic part that gets screwed into the sash (standard?).

Thanks for posting. This looks like either an S380-25 or S385-25. The only difference between these two balances is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe, so compare both with your old hardware to see what matches best. You will need a stamp option of 2640.

It sounds like you also want to replace your Top Sash Guides. Can you remove one, preferably an undamaged version, and show us mugshot pictures of its front and side? That will help narrow down what you need. Many thanks.
