Channel Balance Milgard Window

I have Milgard windows and several of the balances have failed. The number on tha balance is 26-4 KX CMC 7. The shoe and top have wings 15/16 of an inch wide. The shoe's depth is is 1 1/16" or 1 3/32". I am hoping you can help me find a replacement balance for these windows.

Hi there Curt!

It appears the bottom shoe may have wings. It's hard to say for sure from this angle. Could you confirm that for me? Can you also show me a photo of the inside of the metal channel where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism? That'd be located in the middle of the channel.

Hi Emily,

Yes, the bottom shoe has wings as well as the top piece, both are 15/16 of an inch. Please find attached the pulley mechanism.

Thanks for getting back to me, Curt. Based on the information and photos you've provided, I recommend the S380-27 or S385-27 channel balance with the 2640 stamp. If the bottom shoe is 1-3/32" deep, you'd want the Series 385. Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.
