Channel Balance Question

I have a channel balance that is missing. It is stamped "13 4 GN CALDWELL". It is 1/2" wide and 14" long per the great visual on your webpage. I believe the correct replacement part is S380-14 but I am confused on which option to select. My window weighs 16.6 pounds. Can you please advise and concur on my part number? The plastic top and bottoms match your details also.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting. Can you confirm the weight of your sash? The original balance stamp (13 4) is for sashes weighting 11 through 12 pounds, and corresponds to our 1340 option. Was this the original balance from the manufacturer? It's very unusual for them to be so far off. Did you ever find this balance to have difficulty keeping the window open?
If you are certain that the sash is 16.6 pounds, we can custom make a balance for you with a special option. Please just tell me how many balances you would need and we can get started!

Yes, the balance was from the original manufacturer and it never had a problem holding the window open. There is a twin window next to this one that I am assuming has the same channel, when I open it, it does drop ever so slightly but stays open.what do you think? I would only need two balances for this window, if you want to custom make a stronger one, that is fine with me as long as the cost is not prohibitive! Thanks for your help, you guys are great!

Well, my concern with making a stronger spring is that it could be too strong, which means there's a chance it could actually damage your window. The best case scenario would be that you couldn't close your window at all. If you found the 13 4 rating worked fine before, it might be best to stick with that.
