I am looking for replacement channel balances for my wooden windows. These are original to the house which was built in 1983. Neither the windows nor the existing balances have markings. The jamb liners are aluminum and run continuously from the top to bottom of the window opening. The channel balances attach to the sashes and jamb liners with metal clips.
Current channel balance size: 1/2" x 1/2" x 25.75" (width and depth are not 9/16")
Window size: 24" x 66"
Upper sash glass: 19.5" x 24"
Lower sash glass: 19.5" x 36"
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim, it looks like you need to replace the complete jamb liner for this repair. The balance system isn't available. Remove one of your jamb liners and take it to your nearest millwork and they will set you up with a new jamb liner set.
