I purchased 8 channel balances with the channel balance that was in the window as 2740
Now the channel balance is longer than window see pictures
Could it be that former owner of this house did not have correct size of channel balances ? It would not surprise me. Its a bit if a fixer upper.

I am sorry to hear that the balances are giving you trouble. To further review, can I have the height of the visible glass in the window sash? It appears it may be 27" from the photo. This should give us a clearer idea if the length is correct for the window. Thank you!
