Channel Balances

A quick learner from Lake Placid FL says:

Hi,I live in Lake Placid, FL and have NuAir windows in my 1993 home. I need to replace the channel balances for 13 windows. My question is are there two balances per window? The windows are approx. 52" wide by 49.25" high. The number on the channels is d 2240 31. Can you tell me which channel I would need? And how many?
Thank you
Susan

Hi Susan, thanks for posting. Firstly, there are two balances per window sash. Now it looks like you have either our S380-23 or S385-23 Channel Balance. The only difference between these two Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.

Once you know what balance to choose, you must select a stamp option. Your stamp option of 2240 is for a window sash in the weight range of 19 through 23 lbs. Let us know if you have any other questions.
