Channel Balances missing from window

Home Owner from Seattle
One of our windows is missing the channel balances, so I'm not sure how to figure out a replacement. The four other single hung windows in our home use S380, so I am assuming this will be the same. I can also weigh the sash. However, how do I figure out what length the channel balances need to be? This window is taller than the others. Should I measure the difference in height between this window and another, or do I need to measure the jamb? Thanks!

You're close! We like to measure the size of the visible glass of the sash that these balances will support. If you tell me what that is, we can recommend the best length.

Hi! It's been nearly 3 yrs, but I am finally returning to this project. Would you please tell me which S380 channel balances I should order for this window? The sash weighs 16.8lbs, and the visible glass of the sash is 22" high. Thank you!

Hello again! If your visible glass height is 22" and you have a 16.8 pound sash, then I recommend the S380-22 with a 2140 stamp option.
