Do I still need to measure if the number is clearly marked as 2040 W?

I am afraid that stamp only refers to the strength of the balance, not its identity. Measuring the length of the metal channel, not including the fittings at each end, would be best. Also, if you could send us pictures of the fittings at either end of the metal channel, we'll do our best to narrow down what you might need.
