Channel balance

A contractor from Newburyport MA says:
I need 2 38" long plain channel balance. The marking on the balance is 38c 8s1 or could be 851. The shoe looks like snap on clip 15-170 and the top looks like short s clip 19-029.

Thanks for posting. This appears to be an S770-38, with a stamp option of 38C, and fitted with the 15-170 clip on bottom and a rivet installed on top to use an s-clip like the 19-029. We can provide this for you via a custom order. Can you confirm which hole on top of the balance that rivet is in? In other words, is it in the very top hole of the metal channel, or second-to-top hole? From there I'll write up a quote for you to order a pair of these custom-made balances. Many thanks.
