Channel balance

Question

I believe the channel balance I'm trying to replace is 26 or 27 in Long and the stamp on it that I find is 2540 which doesn't match any of the stamps on the 27 inch long balances. Please advise.

I'm afraid I can't tell what you have from these pictures. Do you have an undamaged balance with the end fittings intact that you can show us?

The stamp on your metal channel is "2540" which means that it should measure as 26", not 27". When determining length, include only the metal channel in your measurement and do not include the end fittings.
