Channel balance

A quick learner from Gainesville. FL says:
Stamp # 1820. Measures 18.5". Non tilt window. Half inch channel width. Appears to be a 377 series but spring in mine connects on top to a bar inserted 14.5" from bottom. It doesn't extend full length as shown in your photo. Alum window installed approx 1974. Just want to make sure I order the correct balance or before ordering. Thank you for your help. Jim

I agree, our Series 377 looks like a great match. I wouldn't worry about the length of the spring. Different manufacturers do this differently. What matters is that the strength is the same, which is indicated by the stamp. Based on yours, I'd go with the 1820 option.
A quick learner from FL says:
Hello!

I have this same exact window channels. From what I'm reading the 18.5" channels must be custom ordered? I need two. Could you please give me a quote of the cost and also an estimated time of arrival?

Thanks :)

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Sure! This will have to be a custom order due to the special length. Can you just tell me how many you need? We have to pre-set custom orders with a precise quantity before we can send them out.

We have 4 of these in stock right now, so if you need 4 or less then shipping time will simply be whatever delivery method you choose during checkout. We have a few options. If you order more than 4, however, then these balances will have a lead time of approximately 30 business days.

A quick learner from FL says:
Excellent! I only need two - I'm also placing a separate order for two other windows (different size) I will call you on Monday to add these.

Thank you

Great, sounds good. I'm afraid we can't provide these over the phone; they can only be added to your cart via a special link that I'm about to email you right now. Keep an eye on your inbox for it. Thanks for considering us!
