Channel balance

A handy person from Phoenix area says:
Our house is 20 years old and the existing balance is stamped "28 4 GP Caldwell." I'm looking at the 390 in 29" with the 2840 weight option. The bottom shoe on two balances measures 1 1/16" so I'm inclined to go with the 15-001 shoe, assuming it has worn a bit and if it binds, I can shave it down. I'm getting four, so I'd like to know this is correct before ordering. Thanks.

Hi Gordon: Can you please send us photos of the top and bottom of your balance so we can determine if the series 390 is the correct choice for you.

Here they are. Thanks very much.

Thank you! I agree, I think our Series 390 channel balance would be the best bet. I would bet that the shoe just wore down a little over time and use.
