Channel balance depth.

Question

I ordered the S395-29 balance. option 2830. I discovered that they are too long. My original balance is stamped 2740 so I should have ordered the 28" balance. The tops and shoes appear exactly the same. I have noticed one difference though, My original balance is only 3/8" deep while yours are over a half an inch. Will this matter?

It might. Could you show me a picture of your original balance? That will allow us to confirm whether or not the S395-28 can work. Thanks!
