Channel balance for Florida condo

Quick Learner from Orlando Florida
I just moved into a condo that was built in the late 80's. Vacant for 3 yrs (victim of housing crash and foreclosure). The windows are all not functioning properly, and one of the springs has popped out. Followed the instructions including the tutorial (THANKS!!!) so I was able to take the window out of the sash and remove one of the balances. (Pretty good for a girl!)

I can't tell the difference from the different models - they all look pretty similar to me!! The balance is 30" long, and bears a stamp 2910. I have attached photos of top and bottom of balance front and side views. Please help me identify which model I need. Thanks!

Thank you for posting! Right now, the major difference you need to be concerned with for this balance is found in the bottom shoe. Please take a look at our 15-004 and 15-005 winged balance shoes. As you can see, the 15-004 is 1-3/32" wide, while the 15-005 is only 1" wide. This may not seem like much of a difference, but it is, in fact, vital to the operation of your balance. We highly recommend that you get as accurate a measurement as possible before determining your Series.

Based on your picture, it looks like you might have the 1" wide shoe. If you can confirm that, please take a look at our S380-30 channel balance with a 2910 stamp option and see what you think.

Thanks for the reply. I just visited the photo of the 15-005, and I measured across the front of the wings. They are actually only 15/16" across, and the depth from front to back is only 7/8".

The S380-30 looks good, just want to verify before I order.

A few more questions. I don't know which stop to order and I have some photos.

I would also like to replace the weather stripping on the bottom of the windows. There is a channel they slide into, but I can't figure out how to get them started! They seem to be stopped at the edge of the window. There is only one screw on each side that appears to hold on the bottom of the window, but I can't get the screws to turn. How do you change out the weatherstripping? This stuff is old!

Thank you for specifying! Please take a look at our S380-30 channel balance with a 2910 stamp option. As for the top sash guide, do you think our 18-161 would work? Please compare dimensions and let me know.
