THE STAMP SAYS 2390 26 IMP RB BSI. How will I find the sash weight
I always thought the stamp number is what exactly does that.
I live in ft. Lauderdale?.thus the sash carries hurricane class.
Surely you don?t expect me to take the sash out and go weigh it somewhere.?
The sash is heavy?so what is the options available?

To start, which of the two of the shoes below do you have?

Secondly, yes, in general, you need the sash weight. From company to company, you can't guarantee that the stamp number systems have any relation to one another. There are exceptions. Sometimes, you can take a leap of faith and assume the stamps are the same, for lower numbers, and you'll probably be okay. We can't recommend guessing, though, so that's a judgment call you'd have to make yourself.

Especially in the case of "2390," the "90" doesn't mean anything that corresponds to a SWISCO stamp number. It's possible these are custom double-strength balances. Get back to us with the identity of the bottom shoe and the sash weight and we will tell you what to order.
