Channel balance identification

A home owner from Denver, Colorado says:
Windows are from a home built in the late 80s, I'm unsure if these are original. Most of mine are in pretty rough condition but this appears complete.

The metal of the balance measures 32 inches by 5/8s of an inch.

It has a stamp on one side of the number 3130 followed by either a superscript lower case v or the top half of an uppercase X

Thanks for posting. I feel pretty confident we can replace this balance for you, but that length is a bit unusual for this type of balance. Could you confirm the length of the metal channel, not including the nylon fittings at either end? From there, we'll try and recommend what you need. Many thanks.

A home owner from Denver, Colorado says:

Yep 32 inches long, just the metal. Just double checked it.

I also just weighed a sash, it came in at 20 lbs.

Guessing a little from the pictures in your catalog it looks like i need:

S390-32

With option 3130

I'm also going to want to replace the sash guides. I included a few pictures but It looks like i would need this part:

18-041

What do you think?

Thanks for getting back to me. You have an old howard window that my colleagues have determined uses Series 390 Channel Balances like the one you chose, so you should be OK. The Top Sash Guide will be the 18-039. We only carry this in stock in white, but we could custom order them in black for you if you wish. If so, how many do you need?

Oh i'm perfectly happy with white. I'll place my order now.

Your catalog is great btw. It's up there with McMaster, but having you to ask directly was awesome.

Thanks again!
