Channel balance not as deep as my original

Question

I purchased some channel balances from you last month. On your advice I purchased the S380-31 model. Upon receiving them, I compared the new one to mine. I noticed a slight difference in the height of the plastic piece on the end. Will this make a difference when installed or is the difference simply caused by wear and use over the years? I wanted to make sure before I install them. I am sending a photo for your review.

It could be a matter of your old shoe being worn, but your shoe may also have just been designed to be smaller. I'm afraid the 1" depth is the smallest we can go. If needed, you could always shave the new shoe down a little if it ends up being too big.
