Channel balance guides

Home Owner from Santa Cruz, CA
I just received 2 Swisco channel balance replacements (S385-33) for one of windows. When I tried installing them, I was having more trouble than I expected (I've done this repair on other windows on the house with Swisco parts). Upon inspection, I found there was a broken plastic part screwed into the window frame that might be the problem. I've attached a picture of the part (one good one, and one broken one) for reference. These parts are 1.5" long, 5/8" wide, and 7/16" deep. Do you carry this part? It's seems to be intended to engage with the channel balance.

Hello,

The part shown in your photos looks like the old Milgard top sash guide. These aren't made anymore, unfortunately, but the good news is that you can use our 18-009 as a replacement. The catch is that you have to trim off the top "edge" that sticks out from the body or it won't fit in the space available. As long as the other dimensions match, you should be good to go. Review the specifications below and see what you think. Thank you!

Thanks! I'll buy a few of these and modify them.
