Channel balance replacement

Question

I tried to replace these myself and they were very tight and difficult to put it. They snapped out and broke. Should I just get new ones and try again? What is the replacement part I need??

Hello,

I see that you've ordered some top sash guides but I don't see any orders for balances. If the replacements have too much tension, that indicates to me that you need less spring strength. Can you show us a picture of one of your original balances removed from the window, including both top and bottom attachments, as well as the weight of the sash of the window you're repairing. This information should help us confirm exactly what you need. Thank you!
