Channel balances

Thanks for writing in! It appears that you may have been inquiring about a previous post but I do not see the exact one you were responding to. I'm happy to provide you with a replacement recommendation for your balances, but I'll need to see a photo of the hardware removed from the window.

I'll need to see photos of the top and bottom attachments as well as any attachments that could possibly be left behind by the window channel.

The stamp from the balance will only tell us the weight range the balance can hold to support the sash weight but it does not help to identify the series, unfortunately.

Thanks for the photos. Your balance can be replaced with either the S351-31 with a 1" shoe or the S390-31 with a 1-1/8" shoe. To confirm which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need to confirm the measurement for the depth of your bottom shoe. Take a look at the diagram below for reference.

We're glad to hear that your order worked out for you! These balances appear to be made in the same exact configuration the other balances were. That said, you'd need the S390-21 with a 2040 stamp option. 

You'll just need to be sure to double check the shoe depth is 1-1/8".
