Channel balances for Weather Shield windows

A handy person from Hingham, MA says:

The balances have the following numbers stamped on their sides 2020Z (21 inch) or 2220Z (23 inch).

They are both 1/2 inches wide and appear to have the 19-005 fitting on the top and the 15-004 fitting on the bottom. I need 12 of the 2020Z and 6 of the 2220Z.

Do either the 385 series or the 800 series fit for my situation?

Thanks

Thanks for posting, Art. If you are confident that you have identified the correct nylon attachments, and if the metal channel in both balances is 1/2"; then yes, you have Series 385 Channel Balances. Just be sure to look at the Series 380 Channel Balance also if you haven't already. The Series 380 is identical to the Series 385 except for its nylon shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 Nylon Attachment, which has a depth of 1". The Series 385 uses the 15-004 Nylon Attachment, which is very similar, but has a depth of 1-3/32". So be sure to double-check the depth of your nylon shoe just to be certain you have chosen the right balance Series.

If you do have the Series 385, see the S385-21 with a stamp option of 2020, and S385-23 with a stamp option of 2220. Let us know if you have any questions.
