Hello,
New home owner. I have 2 double hung windows will not stay open. Windows are I believe made my Loewen from 2004 and are approximately 38.5" W x 65" H measured inside jamb to jamb. Bottom sash is taller than top and its the bottom window that has the issue.
Pictures show markings on channel balances "DB LO3 36 XHD". Brown metal parts are what appears to have broken while I was raising the window (gently) using both lifts. I heard a "twang" from what appears to be the spring lift.

Hello, Brian. Your old pivot bars appear to be an older version of our 26-150, while your balance resembles our Series 751. I say "resembles" because I'm not 100% sure that they're a match. Note that the Series 751 has a ribbed metal channel, but I can't tell if yours is or not. Can you confirm? If you aren't sure, please remove the balance from the window and show me a picture of it by itself.
