Charging and Alenco window balance.

Quick Learner from USA
I have 1980 vintage Alenco windows that will not stay up or only partially. Please tell me how to fix and/or tighten them? I received the charging tool but still do not see how to use it.

I ordered this 75-005 : Spiral Balance Charging Tool for Non-tilt Windows. I have looked at every video I can think of but still don't see my window. I can take the small screw out of the top but do not see any clip or how to get to where the balance attaches at the bottom? Any ideas, videos or pictures. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you

Although some of your photos are a little blurry, I believe I understand your matter. With the help of someone holding up the sash, shine a flashlight up under the sash at the track. You should see the end of the spiral sticking down from the attachment clip. Carefully hook your charging tool in the hole at the tip of the balance. Turn the spiral to unhook it from the window, pull down a few inches and give the spiral a clockwise turn or two. You should feel the tension building in the balance,if not you need a new balance.
