Choosing color tip

Hi,
I am trying to determine which color tip to choose for the spiral balance. The one that is in there now is yellow. The sash is 40in by 34in. I'm pretty sure the window is double pane but I am not sure. It doesn't feel like its more than 30lbs so couldn't I just get the one that is for the heaviest windows to be safe?

I wouldn't recommend going with the heaviest spring. It is possible to have a balance that is too strong. I recommend placing your sash on a scale to get the exact weight. That way you'll know just what you need to get without having to worry.
