Choosing spiral balance for metal vertical sliding window

A quick learner from Sunny Isles Beach, FL says:

It is for the windows of an apartment. The window height is 30 1/2 inches. I think the tip is blue. What is the length of the spiral balance I should choose? Also, how can I lubricate the window because it is difficult to slide it.

Thanks for your question. Is this for a tilt window or non-tilt window? What is the tube's diameter, 7/8" or 5/8"? You also need to let us know the length of the tube not including the tip. Please add a photo if you can. The video posted on the right may be helpful.
