Circa 1974 Pivot Guide for Bifold Mirror Closet Door

Landlord from Dillon, Colorado
I am looking for a replacement pivot guide for a large Bifold Mirror Closet Door. I think that the mirror was installed around 1974 in Summit County, Colorado. One of the doors opens and close just fine. The other guide wore out the plastic piece.

Thanks for reaching out to us. You are showing the old-style Slimfold doors. Slimfold has made some changes and the new style pins will work on the old doors. For your replacements, you will need one 21-001 bottom corner adjusting pin. Your old pivot rod clamp looks fine but if you need a new one, see the 21-154. The other three pins will be the 21-007, one for the top pivot and the other two for the top and bottom guide pins. There is no need for the rod clamps for these pins. The pivot bracket will be the 21-200. All the door adjustment is done by the bottom pivot pin, the 21-001, to square up and operate the door. Look these parts over along with the related media guides and see what you think.

Hi Paul,

Thank you very much for all of this information with part numbers. I really appreciate it. I am going to order the parts and pretty much revamp the mechanics as long as I'm working on it.

Thanks again, and also for the videos.

Mike
