Coil Balance

A home owner from Carneys Point NJ says:

Had 2 coil balances break on an Anderson window today. It looks like the coils are stamped 5 BD or DD and they measure 15/16" wide. The sash weighs 20 pounds 8 ounces. They look like your series 180 coil balances.Would the 5 pound be the correct one?Would the 15-086 tandem coil housing and the 15-087 coil housing pivot be the correct parts to replace the ones I have in the pictures?

Upon closer inspection, the coilks are stamped 5 and 6.

Thank you

Hi there- thanks for posting!

You are correct in your assessments. You do have our 15-087 housing with pivot and our 15-086 tandem housing. The coil springs will be S180-5 & S180-6 for your sash. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to get back to us.
