How would I determine the correct coil? 4, 6 or 8 pounds. The coil I have has been broken.
Doe it have anything to do with the weight of the window?
Thank you!

Hello, Steve. The way I identify coil springs is to go by the shoe. Most coil springs look more or less identical by themselves, but the shoes they attach to are usually pretty unique, so it's an easy reference.
In your case, you have an older style shoe that was designed to be used with our Series 152. As long as your spring is 1/2" thick then I feel confident this is what you need. To pick the appropriate weight, you just have to reference the stamp printed on the coil band.
