Coil Balance for 17.5 pound sash

A handy person from Raleigh,NC says:

The vinyl sash weighs 17.5 pounds and is 29.5" wide by 30.5' high. Based on remainder of the broken springs the attaching end looks like series152, is .5" wide and has the same bronze coloring. If the sash weight divided by 2 is the indicator then I will need 2 of the 9 pound coil balances.
Please confirm or correct my thinking.

Yes, you're right. Each individual S152-9 spring can carry 9 pounds of weight, so two working together should support the weight of your sash.
