Coil Balance Assembly

Question

I'm trying to find shoes and a coil compatible with an old window that is in a customers house. unfortunately the manufacturer is no longer in business so I'm just trying to find some replacement parts that will work with this double hung window. it will no longer stay open and keeps wanting to fall down. the shoe is 1.5" tall, 1 5/16"th long, and 1" wide... The coil is in total length 4 1/8" tall, 1 5/16"th long, and 1" wide (that includes the metal coil underneath the plastic body, if its just the plastic body it is 3" tall.)

Thanks for posting! I'm confident we have a replacement that will work to repair the window but I will need to see the balance shoe to determine the correct replacement. This is likely to be sitting at the bottom of the window channel or it could still be attached to the window.

You'll also need to remove the coils to confirm the thickness and to check for any stamps/markings on them. If there aren't any stamps, you'll need to obtain the exact weight of the window sash.

You may also want to double check to see if the pivot bar also needs to be replaced. If so, I'll need to see a photo of it removed from the bottom of the sash to identify it.
