Coil Balance Identification

A handy person from Pennsylvania says:
Looking to replace the part in the picture for 2 of my windows. The windows cant stay open. The bottom portion that connects with the window have broken off. There is also no identification of weight on the windows or this part. Thanks.

Hello! Your broken pivot shoe looks like it might have been our Coil Balance Shoe, 15-180. Take a look at another window where the shoe is still intact to see if you can confirm. This shoe is usually used with the Series 190 Coil Balance. If you are unable to find a number on the metal coil that indicates the number of pounds it can bear, please weigh your sash. Divide that weight by four. Each of your four coil balances will need to have that weight stamp. For example: if your sash weighs twenty pounds and you have four coil balances ( two on each side) that support it, each balance will have to be a 5 lb coil. Let us know if you have questions.
