Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid the Series 180 maxes out at 40" so we don't have a 42" version. What you could do is make sure that the new springs are installed under the tilt latches at their lowest point; in other words, when the window is closed. If the springs are installed above the tilt latches, then they're going to bump into each other during normal operation and the window won't even open.
