Thank you,

Hi, Frank.
We can help but we'll need to see an undamaged pivot shoe removed from your window, along with dimensions, to compare to our inventory. If we can identify the pivot shoe, that will tell us the coils and accessories that you'll need.

Attached are photos of the spring balance assembly.
Spring dimensions: thickness 0.014", width 0.39"
Pivot shoe dimensions: length 1.25", width 0.53"
Do you have a guide for the installation of the spring assembly?
Thank you,
Frank

Take a look at our 15-191 pivot shoe which uses the Series 160 coil spring. Compare our dimensions to yours and see if this matches up for what you need.
As for the spring assembly, the springs just screw on. The bottom one is easy, but the top spring you'll have to screw on and then stretch up. It can be tricky since they're under tension and have a tendency to flop all over. You'll just need three hands and a lot of patience.

Per the submitted photos, the original coil appears to be the series 165 coil (3/8" wide) with 6 lb rating. Would the use of the 6.5 lb series 160 (1/2" wide) present a problem? Both will fit in the windows, but the series 160 may last longer.
Thank you,
Frank

Hi, Frank.
Our 15-191 is used with the Series 160 coil springs but the Series 165 can work as well. So, if your coil spring is 3/8", you can use the Series 165.

No problem, Frank. We'll be here to help if you have any future hardware questions.
