Coil Balances Assemblies, Mounting Brackets, Tilt Latches

Question

I have a window where both coil balances assemblies are broken. One of the mounting brackets are missing and both tilt latches are not functional. The only number I see on the removable coil is JD8 and see PAT 5,353,548.

Thanks for posting. It looks like you have a 15-087 Pivot Shoe and 15-086 Tandem Housing. This system uses Series 180 Coil Balance springs sold separately. A spring stamped '8' can be replaced with the S180-08 8 pound spring; but if there any doubts, weigh the window sash. Give me that exact weight and I can work out what you need. For the tilt latches, the 26-243 and 26-244 are likely our closest matches; but keep in mind they have a straight edged tooth rather than a curved tooth, and we cannot promise this won't affect compatibility.
