Coil Housing Pivot Help

A handy person from Illinois says:
I need help solving my issue. My springs broke on my Barrington DH7 vinyl window. I think the 180 series matches my model but my previous setup are 10 lbs but yours onlybgo up to 9 lbs. I am skeptical about trying 9s. Would the 161 series also work since it has a 10 lb coil spring option?

Hello,

I can't be sure of what you need with your coil balance still installed but what I can see resembles the 15-087 housing pivot, which uses the S180 coil springs that you were looking at. We do not carry 10-pound springs but if the specifications of our parts match yours, you can use two of the S180-5 coils on each side to support the same amount of weight. See the 15-086 tandem housing for the second coil. Thanks for posting!

If I remove the pivot housing you need pictures and measurements to verify? Since its cold outside I don't really have the luxory of leaving it taken apart very long.

It's tough to make out accurate dimensions from photos but yours do look close to the 1-3/16" width and 1/2" depth shown below. If they match up, then you should be good to go.
