Coil balance

Question

I need replacement coil balances for a vinyl single hung window.  It has an 8 marked on the coil.  It is 1/2" wide.  When extended all the way it is around 29" from the top screw that holds the coil in place to the bottom of the window sash. Can you let me know the correct replacement.

Hello! We can definitely supply this hardware for you. See our 15-180 pivot shoe, along with our Series 190 coil spring. You mentioned that your old spring had an 8 on it, indicating 8 pounds of support, so you'll probably want our S190-840 specifically.

If your old barrel and clip are in good condition, they can be reused. If not, see our 15-182 and 15-186, respectively.
