Coil balance

Question

The coil spring broke on the tilt out window balance.  There is a number 3 printed on the back so I assume that's for a 3 pound spring

Thanks for posting. This looks like a 15-180 Pivot Shoe, a 15-186 Balance Clip and 15-182 Drum. This system uses Series 190 Coil Balance springs. If the stamp isn't on the spring itself, it probably is not related to the spring weight you should choose. To figure that out, weigh the window sash these balances support. Give me that exact weight and I can work out what you need.
