Coil balance

Question

Looking for replacement coil balances for a number for our windows. Coil has what I believe to be "10J" written on it. Tried ordering a WRS Series 37 Tandem QuickTilt - 10 lbs, but it did not work for what we needed.

Hello,

If you have Certainteed windows, take a look at the 15-192 pivot shoe, which uses the Series 170 and Series 171 coil springs.

If you have Simonton windows, the 15-192 may not work for you and would likely require shaving down the front of the shoe. Even some customers with Certainteed windows have reported needing to make adaptations. For that reason, we came up with the conversion shown in the video below to replace all of the necessary balance hardware. Take a look and thanks for posting!
