Coil balance broken

A quick learner from Beavercreek, OH says:

I need to replace a broken coil balance for a homeowner. No window brand names anywhere. Home built in 2002. The vinyl sash size is 33 1/2" wide x 29" tall. The coil measures 1/2" wide. The bottom shoe is 2" tall. Is it possible to get all new parts?

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks for writing in. This looks like a 15-180 Pivot Shoe. This shoe is compatible with our Series 190 Coil Springs. If your old shoe and retaining clip are in good condition they can be reused. You'll need the stamps off the springs to confirm the best Series 190 option. Let us know if you have any questions.

I have removed the broken balance. Where will I find the stamps?
Thanks,
Mike

Bob from SWISCO responded:

The stampings are usually found on the actual coil, particularly at the end of the coil. If there are any stampings/markings, please get back to us with the exact weight of your window sash.

Found the number. It is either a 6 or 9. Is a sash 33 1/2" x 29" with double pane glass closer to 6 or 9 pounds? I do not have it here-it is in a customers home. Thanks. Mike

If it is stamped with a "6" then you can go with the Series 190-640. If it is stamped with a "9", then go with the S190-940. The only way you will know which one of these coils would work would be to remove the sash and weight it on a scale and get back to us with that weight.
