Coil balance certain teed vinyl replacement windows

Thanks for writing in. If you have a Certainteed window, then most likely you have a 15-192 Pivot Shoe; this indeed is compatible with our Series 170 Coil Springs. If so, then yes, you're absolutely right, a #407 stamp on the coil spring indicates you'd want to replace that coil with our S170-407, which is meant to individually support 7 lbs.
